Talk by RBI 21.02.2018
On February 21, 2018, an interactive session was organized by Kautilya
Parishad, in collaboration with the Reserve Bank of India, for the students of
Economics of PGDAV College (Eve.). The speakers on the day were Dr. D. B.
Bhattacharya, AGM RBI and Ms. Seema Jain, Manager RBI. The speakers enlightened
the students on the different functions performed by the Reserve Bank of India.
The speakers also discussed various topics like currency management,
demonetization, banking policies, etc. The speakers also educated the students
with the knowledge about cryptocurrencies and their future role in the Indian
economy.
At the end of the session, an oral quiz competition was also organized
and the winners were given prizes (pens) made of demonetized currencies by the
invited guests. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by Ms. Geeta Ahuja, Convenor
of the Kautilya Parishad.
